Air quality in Delhi showed a slight improvement on Friday morning, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) at 226, categorizing it as ‘poor’. Despite this, certain areas of the city still faced poor air quality, accompanied by reduced visibility due to fog.
Different regions of Delhi displayed varying AQI levels, with areas like Anand Vihar, Bawana, Jahangirpuri, and Pusa reporting higher pollution levels. However, some areas like IGI Airport Terminal 3 and Lodhi Road showed relatively better air quality with lower AQI readings.
Neighboring areas like Noida also experienced elevated pollution levels, with varying AQI values across different sectors. The weather forecast predicted shallow fog in the morning hours, with temperatures expected to reach around 23 degrees Celsius during the day.
Looking ahead, the coming days may witness fluctuations in temperatures and foggy conditions, with a gradual increase in maximum temperatures. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) warned of dense fog formation in northern plains due to snowfall in mountainous regions, affecting visibility in states like Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Madhya Pradesh.
