Chikkarangappa S. and Khalin Joshi, both PGTI winners, are tied for second place at three-under 68.
The Andhra Open 2026, hosted at the East Point Golf Club, has seen adjustments to the course, including changing the par-5 seventh hole to a par-4, lowering the course par to 71. Dhruv, currently 11th on the PGTI Order of Merit, expressed satisfaction with his performance, mentioning the challenges posed by the course’s tricky greens. Khalin Joshi, a former Asian Tour winner, also had a strong start and is optimistic about the tournament ahead.
Angad Cheema, winner of the 2024 event at EPGC, is tied for fourth place after shooting a 69, while Saptak Talwar, the DP World PGTI Order of Merit leader, is tied for 10th at one-under 70. Nepalese golfer Subash Tamang added excitement to the day with a hole-in-one on the 11th hole and finished tied for 10th place with a score of 70.
