DMK spokesperson T.K.S. Elangovan criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), labeling it as a “monarch” for its alleged dominance in Tamil Nadu’s political landscape. Elangovan emphasized that the people of Tamil Nadu oppose the BJP due to its perceived anti-Tamil stance, citing the party’s failure to establish an AIIMS hospital in the state as an example.
According to Elangovan, the BJP’s actions reflect a desire to influence and control the country’s political environment, contrasting it with the democratic principles of the DMK. He accused the BJP of pressuring opposition leaders and engaging in corrupt practices, particularly highlighting their involvement in introducing electoral bonds during the previous election.
Elangovan also criticized TVK chief Vijay, attributing him responsibility for a tragic stampede in Karur. He expressed public support for Chief Minister M.K. Stalin’s leadership, noting positive reception to Deputy CM Udhayanidhi Stalin’s public engagements as a sign of solidarity with the people of Tamil Nadu.
