The much-anticipated Tamil-Telugu historical drama ‘Draupathi 2’ by director Mohan G is scheduled for release on January 15 this year. The decision to release the film during the festival season came after the postponement of Vijay-starrer ‘Jana Nayagan’. Fans are eagerly awaiting the film, which is produced by Chola Chakravarthy of Netaji Productions in collaboration with G. M Film Corporation.
Sources reveal that ‘Draupathi 2’ is set in the 14th century, revolving around the reign of Hoysala emperor Veera Vallalar III, the bravery of the Kadavarayas of Sendhamangalam, and the impact of the Mughal invasion of Tamil Nadu. The movie stars Richard Rishi and Rakshana Induchoodan in lead roles, with actor and cinematographer Natti Natraj playing a significant part.
Apart from the main cast, ‘Draupathi 2’ features a strong supporting lineup including Y. G. Mahendran, Nadodigal Barani, Saravana Subbiah, Vela Ramamoorthy, Siraj Johnny, Dinesh Lamba, Ganesh Gaurang, Divi, Devayani Sharma, and Arunodayan, adding depth to the historical narrative. The film also boasts a talented technical crew, with Telugu dialogues by Samrat, music by Ghibran Vaibodha, cinematography by Philip R. Sundar, and choreography by Thanika Tony.
Stunt sequences in the film are choreographed by Action Santosh, while editing is handled by Devaraj and art direction by Kamalnathan.
