Effiong Nsungusi’s two goals led Punjab FC to a 2-0 victory over Bengaluru FC in the Indian Super League (ISL) 2025-26 at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium. Despite Renedy Singh’s unchanged XI, Bengaluru FC couldn’t secure a win, marking Punjab FC’s first victory of the season.

In the match, after a slow start, Punjab FC took the lead with Nsungusi’s header following a well-placed cross from Kipgen. Nsungusi then scored his second goal with a low shot from outside the box, extending Punjab FC’s lead to 2-0 by halftime.

The second half witnessed Bengaluru FC making three substitutions, but they failed to score. Despite a close chance for Bengaluru FC, the match ended with Punjab FC’s 2-0 triumph, leaving Bengaluru FC with 4 points after three games.
