Eight individuals lost their lives in four distinct road accidents in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana on Friday, as confirmed by the police. In one incident, a tourist bus from Gujarat collided with a mini lorry near Dornala in Markapuram district, resulting in one fatality and four injuries. The bus, carrying 40 passengers from Rajkot to Srisailam, veered out of control due to a tire puncture and struck the stationary DCM on the roadside where the mini lorry was parked.
Another tragic accident in Anakapalli district claimed the lives of three young individuals when a private travel bus collided with the bike they were riding at Pothireddypalem junction. The collision occurred early in the day as the youths were returning from a local fair in Purushottapuram village. While two of them died on the spot, the third succumbed to injuries at a hospital in Yelamanchili. The deceased, identified as I. Govindu (25), Bangaru Nani (24), and Bangaru Durgaprasad (16), were painters by profession.
In the NTR district, two individuals lost their lives, and three sustained injuries after being hit by a truck. The victims, who were returning from catering work on a bike from Nuzvidu to Tiruvuru, had two of their group alight on the highway. Tragically, a passing truck collided with the stationary bike, resulting in the deaths of two individuals and injuries to three others. The deceased were identified as Nakka Eshwar (16) and Madugu Sunny (17).
Additionally, in a separate incident in Telangana, two individuals were killed, and one was injured when the car they were traveling in collided with a stationary lorry on Karimnagar-Peddapalli Bypass. Police have initiated an investigation into the accidents.
