Eight individuals lost their lives in three distinct road accidents in Telangana on Wednesday. In Hyderabad, a tragic incident on the Nagarjuna Sagar highway resulted in the deaths of three individuals, including two engineering students, Shiva and Sandeep, from Mahaveer Engineering College. The accident involved a speeding car colliding with a two-wheeler and a pedestrian, leading to fatalities and chaos.
Following the accident, students from the college staged a protest, demanding the alleged intoxicated driver be handed over to them. This protest caused a traffic jam, prompting police intervention to restore order. The Vanasthalipuram Police Station initiated an investigation into the incident, which occurred under the Rachakonda Commissionerate’s jurisdiction.
In a separate incident in Kamareddy district, three young individuals named Sachin, Ashok, and Nagnath lost their lives after their motorcycle collided with a stationary lorry near Menuru in Madnoor mandal. While Ashok died at the scene, Nagnath and Sachin succumbed to their injuries en route to a nearby hospital. Police have launched an investigation into this tragic event.
Another road accident in Suryapet district claimed the lives of two family members, Satish and Narasimha Rao, while injuring ten others. The collision involved a DCM vehicle rear-ending a Bolero near Jagannaik Tanda in Chivvemla mandal. The injured individuals were promptly hospitalized, with the family en route to a temple when the accident occurred.
