The Election Commission of India (ECI) has unveiled the final electoral roll for Madhya Pradesh, revealing a total of 5,39,81,065 registered voters in the state, with an additional 8,49,082 new voters. This publication follows the completion of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) conducted over the past four months, involving thorough verification of every voter on the previous list. The ECI noted that after the draft voter list, 53,131,983 voters were registered, with the final list now encompassing 53,981,065 voters, indicating a net increase of 849,082 voters.
The extensive and effective four-month campaign, starting from October 27, 2025, led to the publication of the final electoral roll after various phases of action across Madhya Pradesh. The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process addressed claims and objections related to the inclusion, deletion, and amendment of voter names. The SIR campaign, in compliance with ECI directives, commenced in Madhya Pradesh on October 27, 2025, alongside other states like Chhattisgarh.
Throughout the 55 districts of Madhya Pradesh, covering 230 Assembly seats and 29 Lok Sabha constituencies, the SIR exercise was conducted by 533 Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs), 71,930 Block Level Officers (BLOs), and numerous volunteers. The Election Commission expressed appreciation for the active involvement of Madhya Pradesh residents in this significant electoral endeavor. Before the draft voter list publication, the state had 5,74,06,143 registered voters.
The final voter list copies have been provided to recognized political parties’ representatives in each district as per regulations, as confirmed by the ECI.
