In Patna, the father of a NEET aspirant who died at the Perfect Girls’ Hostel has filed an FIR at the Gandhi Maidan police station, alleging conspiracy, mental harassment, and murder. He disputes the suicide theory, claiming his daughter was mentally harassed and killed, urging a fair investigation. While the police consider it a suicide based on initial post-mortem findings, the father accuses a young man and others of involvement.
Central Superintendent of Police (SP) Diksha revealed that the student, from Aurangabad district, was discovered dead at the hostel on January 6. The police found a handwritten note and a mobile phone in the student’s room, both of which were seized for investigation. Despite the police terming it a suicide, the family lodged an FIR implicating a young man and others, leading to an arrest and ongoing interrogation.
The investigation indicates the arrested individual’s connection to the incident and his presence at the scene. The student had prior contact with him, prompting a detailed probe. Allegations against other individuals mentioned by the family are also under scrutiny, with technical evidence being gathered for forensic analysis. The police are exploring academic stress as a possible factor, considering the student’s reported dissatisfaction with her studies.
Authorities are meticulously examining all evidence, including the post-mortem report, forensic data, technical inputs, and family statements, to determine the circumstances surrounding the student’s death. The post-mortem report attributed the cause of death to hanging.
