Former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje recently organized the ‘Nari Shakti Vandan’ program in Banswara, symbolizing women’s empowerment by having only women on stage. She urged male leaders to give up their seats in support of women, leading to all male leaders stepping down. Raje expressed gratitude for their cooperation and emphasized the cultural significance of the event.
The program, initiated under the guidance of the BJP’s national leadership, commenced from the revered land of Goddess Tripura Sundari. Raje highlighted the importance of this symbolic start and credited the party’s National President for the initiative. She described the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam as a significant step towards women’s self-respect, acknowledging PM Modi’s role in its approval in 2023.
Raje praised the legislation for providing 33% reservation for women in the Lok Sabha and State Legislative Assemblies, ensuring increased female participation in governance. She encouraged women to engage actively in politics, emphasizing the need for full-time commitment to public service. Ending on a humorous note, Raje suggested men might need to take on more responsibilities at home with women playing a more significant role in the country’s governance.
