Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot congratulated the National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) on its Foundation Day, expressing his deep connection with the organization and its history of student activism. Gehlot, who was the first NSUI President in Rajasthan, reminisced about his early political days, crediting the organization for shaping his dedication to public service. He praised NSUI as a fearless advocate for student rights and democratic values in the country.

Gehlot fondly recalled his involvement in designing the NSUI flag and logo during his tenure, highlighting his personal contribution to the organization’s identity. He emphasized the vital role of student organizations like NSUI in fostering leadership and upholding democratic principles on university campuses. Expressing concern over growing divisive politics in educational institutions, Gehlot commended NSUI’s efforts in resisting such trends and encouraged students to engage in constructive and inclusive politics.

The veteran Congress leader urged young students to embrace unity, inclusivity, and dialogue in their political engagement, emphasizing the importance of maintaining educational spaces for healthy debates and progressive ideas. Gehlot expressed confidence in NSUI’s commitment to representing student voices and safeguarding democratic rights, believing that the organization will continue its legacy with resilience and determination.
