Four Class nine girl students vanished from Arya Kanya School in north Kolkata but were found by Kolkata Police at Howrah Station within 12 hours of their disappearance. The girls, missing since the school day ended, changed into different uniforms and boarded a train to Asansol. Police investigations revealed they had met an 18-year-old youth from Asansol through Instagram.

A police team, led by Officer-in-Charge Shubhdeep Chakraborty, traced the girls to Asansol after learning about their presence from a youth involved in a bike accident. The girls, unable to find accommodation in Asansol, were rescued by Kolkata Police and brought back unharmed. The motive behind their disappearance and journey to Asansol is under investigation to unravel the mystery.

Efforts are ongoing to determine why the girls left school without informing their parents and ended up in Asansol. The Kolkata Police are focused on understanding the circumstances that led to the girls’ actions and ensuring a thorough investigation to shed light on the incident.
