Gaganjeet Bhullar, a four-time IGPL Tour winner, is set to participate in the IGPL Invitational 2026. With 11 victories on the Asian Tour, including a recent win in Chandigarh, Bhullar aims for consecutive triumphs. The IGPL Tour’s second event in 2026 kicks off the Africa leg, following tournaments in Dubai and Sri Lanka last year.
This year, the IGPL has introduced 10 franchises for the IGPL League, with each franchise hosting events in 10 different cities. Bhullar, expressing his ambition for another win, acknowledges the tough competition in the IGPL, highlighting players like Karandeep Kochhar and Pukhraj Singh Gill. Tennis icon Leander Paes, owner of the Flying Man Kolkata franchise, plays a pivotal role in organizing the IGPL Invitational in Mauritius.
Paes, known for his tennis achievements, now focuses on fostering business ties between India and Mauritius through golf. Bhullar, who previously competed in Mauritius, praises the golf course and the opportunity for young players to experience international tournaments. Looking ahead, Bhullar aims to add the upcoming event to his list of successes.
Bhullar, balancing his time between IGPL, the International Series, and the Asian Tour, aims to mentor young players in the game. Reflecting on his season so far, he plans to leverage the tie-up between IGPL and Liv-backed International Series to enhance his performance and secure a spot in Liv through the Order of Merit.
