Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan visited the strategically important areas under Chinar Corps in Srinagar to assess the security landscape and operational readiness along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir. He praised the formation’s operational preparedness and professionalism, urging all ranks to maintain excellence and readiness for potential future conflicts. General Chauhan emphasized the importance of jointness and the need to be prepared across all domains for effective outcomes.
At Baramulla, General Chauhan was briefed on Future Force Application and Technology Infusion, as per an official statement. During his address to the Officers of the Chinar Corps, he highlighted the evolving nature of warfare, advocating for a shift towards Multi-Domain Operations (MDO) supported by a robust integrated framework. He stressed the significance of jointness and seamless integration across various domains like land, air, maritime, cyber, space, and cognitive for achieving decisive results.
General Chauhan called for enhanced joint training, harmonization of doctrines, and the development of interoperable command and control structures to enable synchronized effects across all domains. He emphasized the necessity of a strategic roadmap to address emerging challenges, focusing on technological adaptation, cognitive resilience, and collective preparedness through integrated efforts. General Chauhan reiterated the importance of foresight, innovation, and a unified warfighting philosophy in preparing for envisioned threats.
During his visit, General Chauhan also engaged with civil administration representatives, eminent personalities, and functionaries in Baramulla, reviewing their contributions towards nation-building efforts.
