Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel recognized three service-oriented institutions and nine individuals for their exceptional societal contributions at a ceremony in Ahmedabad’s Sardar National Memorial. Patel emphasized the importance of selfless service in today’s money-driven world, highlighting the awardees’ dedication to serving others.
In his address, Patel praised the awardees for embodying the principle of “Seva Parmo Dharma,” deeply rooted in India’s Sanatan tradition. He commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi for promoting this spirit at the grassroots level, focusing on the welfare of the most marginalized in society. Patel stressed that true service transcends self-interest and should be measured by one’s contribution to society, not material wealth or status.
The Chief Minister lauded a specific organization for its innovative initiatives in education, healthcare, and public awareness. He highlighted the organization’s efforts in linking the Fit India movement with women’s health, particularly in breast cancer awareness and early diagnosis. Patel underscored the importance of collaboration between government and voluntary organizations to ensure the effective implementation of welfare schemes, emphasizing the enhanced impact of public policy through such partnerships.
Recognizing Gujarat’s history of compassion and collective response during crises, Patel urged citizens, service organizations, and social workers to unite with the government to build a harmonious and prosperous Gujarat. He called for collective efforts to achieve a developed India by 2047, emphasizing the role of collaboration in realizing this vision.
