Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini criticized the Indian Youth Congress workers for their behavior at the India AI Summit in New Delhi, calling it disgraceful on a global scale. The Chief Minister highlighted that the AI Summit, organized under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, aimed to be a world-class event with international participation. However, the CM expressed disappointment over the “indecent” conduct of the Youth Congress members, stating that it brought embarrassment to the country.
Underlining the significance of artificial intelligence (AI) in the current era, the state government had previously announced the establishment of two AI hubs in Gurugram and Panchkula. Responding to inquiries, state Health Minister Arti Singh Rao emphasized the government’s efforts to enhance healthcare services through the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana. This scheme offers a range of treatment packages, including surgical procedures, daycare treatments, medicines, and diagnostic tests, benefiting a large number of individuals in the state.
Moreover, Minister Rao disclosed that as of February 20, there were over 1.38 million active Ayushman cards in Haryana. The Ayushman Bharat-Chirayu Haryana Scheme has made all 2,694 treatment packages accessible to the beneficiaries. Additionally, any treatments not covered under these packages are accommodated under an “unspecified” category in empaneled hospitals, ensuring comprehensive healthcare coverage. The total number of treatments availed under the Ayushman scheme in the state from November 2022 to February 17, 2026, reached 1,428,872, with hospitals receiving reimbursements totaling Rs. 2,010,33,66,180 for the services provided.
In a separate discussion, Public Health Engineering Minister Ranbir Gangwa affirmed the government’s commitment to ensuring that the ‘Har Ghar Nal Se Jaal’ tap reaches every household, focusing on providing clean drinking water to newly developed regular colonies. The department has been actively working to implement drinking water supply plans in 25 regular colonies in Jhajjar, with detailed estimates for these projects already in place. Notably, canal-based drinking water supply schemes in nine villages of the Jhajjar constituency, including Jhajjar city, are delivering water that meets the prescribed quality standards.
Addressing another query, Development and Panchayats Minister Krishna Lal Panwar highlighted the government’s initiative to designate villages with over 10,000 residents as ‘Mahagrams,’ providing them with urban-style sewerage systems and essential infrastructure to enhance rural living standards. Panwar also mentioned ongoing efforts to address waterlogging issues in the main lanes of Julana-Shadipur market by establishing an inter-departmental committee to find sustainable solutions.
