Haryana Governor Prof Ashim Kumar Ghosh praised India’s emergence as a strong global player post-Independence. He credited the nation’s success to the collective efforts of leaders, farmers, laborers, artisans, and scientists. Speaking at the Republic Day event in Panchkula, he emphasized Haryana’s significant role in India’s advancement.
Governor Ghosh, while addressing the gathering, highlighted the importance of the day when India’s Constitution came into effect, granting fundamental rights of justice, liberty, and equality. He paid tribute to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and the Constituent Assembly members for their contributions. The Governor also acknowledged the sacrifices made by iconic leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Subhash Chandra Bose, and Sardar Patel for India’s freedom struggle.
Underlining India’s rapid progress under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, Governor Ghosh commended the successful missions like Chandrayaan, Suryayaan, and Mangalyaan. He expressed pride in the completion of the Freedom Struggle Memorial in Ambala, honoring Haryana’s freedom fighters. Additionally, he lauded Haryana’s advancements in education, health, and sports sectors.
