Hockey India has officially named Tim White as the coach of the junior women’s team. White, an Australian high-performance coach, previously led the Belgium Under-21 women’s team to a bronze medal at the 2025 Junior World Cup. His coaching career includes successful stints in Belgium and Australia.
White expressed his excitement about the opportunity, emphasizing his goal of nurturing technically proficient players to advance to the senior team. He aims to instill a focus on collective strengths and disciplined defensive strategies while valuing attacking hockey.
The appointment of White is viewed as a strategic move to enhance India’s junior hockey standards. With a background in coaching at the national level in Australia and Europe, White brings a wealth of experience to the role. Hockey India President Dilip Tirkey praised White’s track record and expertise in athlete development, highlighting his past achievements at Junior World Cups.
Welcoming the appointment, Hockey India Secretary General Bhola Nath Singh emphasized the importance of providing top-notch coaching to junior teams.
