Pittsburgh, PA, April 16, 2025 – Dr. Divya Sistla, a distinguished endocrinologist originally from Hyderabad, India, has been awarded the esteemed title of Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP). This accolade is among the highest honors in internal medicine, acknowledging her significant contributions to endocrinology, medical research, and education.
A Journey from Hyderabad to U.S. Medical Leadership
Dr. Sistla’s medical journey commenced at the Kamineni Institute of Medical Sciences in Telangana. After relocating to the United States, she established herself as a leading figure in endocrinology. Currently, she serves as an Endocrinologist and Obesity Medicine Specialist at UPMC Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Her clinical expertise encompasses a wide range of hormonal disorders, including diabetes, thyroid conditions, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), osteoporosis, and Cushing’s syndrome. Board-certified in internal medicine, endocrinology, and obesity medicine, Dr. Sistla is renowned for her comprehensive approach to patient care.
Commitment to Medical Education and Research
Beyond her clinical responsibilities, Dr. Sistla is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Pittsburgh. In this role, she mentors medical trainees and actively participates in committees focused on patient safety and physician wellness.
