India and Zambia held their 4th Foreign Office Consultations in Lusaka today, focusing on enhancing bilateral relations and exploring new areas of cooperation. The meeting covered a wide range of topics, including institutional mechanisms, scholarships, training, and capacity building.

Both sides reviewed collaboration in higher education, trade, and commercial relations. Discussions extended to key sectors such as defense, health, agriculture, mines, mineral resources, and small and medium enterprises. The use of digital platforms and cultural exchanges were also highlighted as areas for potential growth.

The delegations expressed satisfaction with the current state of bilateral ties and emphasized the need to strengthen their relationship further. They also addressed regional and international issues of mutual interest, focusing on cooperation within multilateral forums, including the United Nations.

The consultations concluded with an agreement to hold the next Foreign Office Consultations in New Delhi at a mutually convenient date, underscoring the ongoing commitment to enhancing the strategic partnership between India and Zambia.
