India showcased its archery prowess at the Archery Asia Cup Stage in Bangkok, securing a total of 10 medals. The Indian compound archers excelled by clinching the gold and silver medals in various events. In the men’s individual compound final, Uday Kamboj and Rajat Chauhan led India to a podium sweep.
The dominance continued as India claimed victory in the mixed and women’s team events, securing gold and silver medals, respectively. Tejal Salve added to India’s success by winning the bronze in the women’s individual compound archery event. The compound mixed team event, set to debut at the LA 2028 Olympics, saw India’s Chikitha Taniparthi and Rajat Chauhan clinching the gold medal.
In the recurve events, Indian archers Ridhi and the men’s team secured silver medals in their respective competitions. Despite a strong performance, Ridhi settled for silver in the women’s individual final. The men’s recurve team also put up a commendable effort but had to settle for silver after a close defeat in the final.
India’s archery success continued with victories in the women’s recurve trio and the compound men’s team events. The women’s recurve trio secured a bronze medal, while the compound men’s team emerged victorious after a closely contested playoff against Bhutan.
