Defending champions India, led by captain Suryakumar Yadav, have secured a spot in the Super Eight stage of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 after dominating their group matches. Their final Group A match against the Netherlands is set to take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Wednesday at 7:00 PM IST.
The Indian team’s impressive performance includes victories over Pakistan, the United States of America, and Namibia in the ongoing T20 World Cup. In contrast, the Netherlands, led by Scott Edwards, have struggled with inconsistent results, currently sitting in fourth place with one win in three games and already eliminated from the tournament.
In their only previous T20 International encounter, India defeated the Netherlands by 56 runs at the 2022 T20 Cup in Sydney. Both teams’ recent performances show India with a strong record of wins and the Netherlands facing challenges with losses and mixed results.
