Reigning Men’s T20 World Cup champions India are set to play a three-match T20I series in Zimbabwe in July, as announced by Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC). The matches are scheduled for July 23, 25, and 26 at Harare Sports Club, all starting at 4:30 pm IST. India and Zimbabwe last faced each other during the 2026 Men’s T20 World Cup in Chennai, where India emerged victorious by 72 runs.

Zimbabwe, who advanced to the Super Eight stage in the 2026 T20 World Cup, will aim to capitalize on their performance. India, fresh from T20I series against Ireland and England, will be looking to continue their form. ZC Managing Director Givemore Makoni expressed excitement about the upcoming series, highlighting the significance of playing against the world champions on home turf.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) recently confirmed that Zimbabwe will tour India in January 2027 for a three-match ODI series. This tour marks Zimbabwe’s first bilateral trip to India since March 2002. The ODI matches are scheduled to take place in Kolkata, Hyderabad, and Mumbai on January 3, 6, and 9, respectively. Makoni expressed joy over Zimbabwe’s return to India for a bilateral series after a significant gap, emphasizing the value of the opportunity for their players.
