Indian AI Startup Presentation.ai Raises USD 3 Million to Redefine Presentation Creation

In a significant development within the Indian startup ecosystem, Presentation.ai, a company revolutionizing how businesses create presentations, has secured $3 million in a seed funding round led by Accel. The funding will enable the startup to scale its innovative AI-powered platform that simplifies building presentations, from PPTs to infographics and reports.

Founded in 2019, Presentation.ai leverages artificial intelligence to help users effortlessly design presentations. With the introduction of ChatGPT in 2022, the company saw tremendous growth, attracting millions of users within just three months of its public beta. Founder Sumanth Raghavendra, a former co-founder of The Ken and DeckApp, aims to transform how people approach presentation creation by incorporating AI’s ease and adaptability.

The platform offers various features such as AI-powered design assistants, real-time collaboration tools, multilingual support, and custom brand templates. It uses a mix of large language models (LLMs) and advanced AI technologies, like text-to-image models Flux and Stable Diffusion, to create high-quality content, including charts and images. With a goal of being as intuitive as ChatGPT, Presentation.ai promises to make creating presentations an effortless task, even for the most complex topics.

This fresh funding will enable the company to expand its reach, having already proven successful in key markets like the U.S., India, and the U.K. As it grows, the startup is enhancing its AI-driven product with features like brand-specific templates and the ability to export presentations to formats like PowerPoint or PDF for further customization.

Since transitioning from a free service to a freemium model in early 2024, Presentation.ai has enjoyed widespread adoption. In addition to its AI tools, the startup incorporates “guardrails” to prevent content inaccuracies, ensuring that the platform remains reliable for businesses. The platform’s user base has quickly become a diverse mix, with a 20% revenue share from the U.S. and substantial support from the Indian market as well.

This move by Accel highlights the growing interest in AI-powered productivity tools, particularly in the context of streamlining business processes like presentation creation. For businesses and individuals alike, Presentation.ai provides an innovative solution that aligns with the evolving need for smarter, faster, and more efficient work environments.
