Back in 2021, Komalika Bari achieved success in junior archery, but transitioning to the senior level has been challenging. Currently training in Pune for the Asian Games selection, she emphasizes mental strength and hard work. Komalika aims for the 2028 Olympics and hopes to inspire tribal youth to pursue archery.
Komalika, supported by her mother, started her archery journey at 12 with makeshift bamboo bows. Despite financial constraints, she joined the Tata Archery Academy in Jamshedpur after four years of training. Cycling 18kms daily to the academy, she faced numerous challenges but remained determined.
Participating in the Khelo India Tribal Games, Komalika aims to motivate others to engage in sports. Recognizing the importance of such platforms, she values the opportunity they provide for tribal athletes. With past successes and a focus on development, Komalika sees the Tribal Games as a catalyst for change in the sporting ecosystem.
