Lieutenant General Navin Sachdeva, the Chief of Staff of the Indian Army’s Central Command, recently visited the Remount Veterinary Corps Centre and College in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. The purpose of the visit was to assess the various facilities at the center. During the visit, Lieutenant General Sachdeva specifically examined the administrative framework and the training facilities, including the Dog Training Faculty and Equitation and Animal Management Faculty.
The review highlighted the essential role of these facilities in enhancing the Army’s veterinary and animal management capabilities. Lieutenant General Sachdeva also praised the advanced training infrastructure and the dedicated team of officers and personnel at the center. The specialized training methodologies were acknowledged for ensuring operational readiness and maintaining high professional standards.
In a separate event commemorating 150 years of ‘Vande Mataram’, a special Army Band performance took place at Janeshwar Mishra Park in Lucknow. The performance featured bands from various Army regiments, captivating an audience of over 2,000 spectators. The event celebrated the historic significance of India’s national song and its enduring inspiration for generations.
The Shatrujeet Brigade conducted a two-week military training camp for NCC Cadets, providing them with exposure to elite military practices. The camp included activities such as using new-generation weapons, BMP rides, horse riding, and rock climbing. The cadets were immersed in demanding routines to enhance their skills, discipline, and teamwork, instilling in them the values of leadership, responsibility, and service to the nation.
