Some of India’s top CEOs are expected to join a group of 146 global corporate leaders for a meeting with US President Donald Trump at the World Economic Forum in Davos. The Indian delegation includes prominent figures like Tata Sons Chairman N. Chandrasekaran, Wipro CEO Srini Pallia, Bharti Enterprises Founder Sunil Bharti Mittal, and Infosys CEO Salil Parekh. This meeting coincides with the ongoing US-India trade deal negotiations, which are anticipated to have a positive impact on market sentiments.
Recent developments suggest a thaw in relations between the US and India regarding the trade deal negotiations, hinting at a possible announcement in the near future. President Trump is among the distinguished attendees at the Davos World Economic Forum, alongside notable personalities such as JP Morgan CEO Jamie Dimon, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
In a separate session at the WEF in Davos, Union Minister of New and Renewable Energy, Pralhad Joshi, emphasized the investment opportunities in India’s clean and green energy sector. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis highlighted the growing interest of international investors in India as a key investment destination across various sectors. Fadnavis mentioned that discussions with international companies and investors at Davos will pave the way for future collaborations and investments in India.
