Indian cricketer Umesh Yadav and his wife Tanya Wadhwa visited the Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain on Friday morning. They participated in the Bhasma Aarti, expressing Yadav’s belief in seeking blessings at the temple as he feels called by Lord Mahakal whenever he visits. Yadav shared that the experience was special, seeking blessings for his future endeavors and the well-being of everyone.
Umesh Yadav, who made his debut in 2010, has become a reliable fast bowler in all cricket formats. With 288 wickets in 141 matches at an average of 31.62, including a best bowling figure of 6/88 in an innings, Yadav has proven his prowess. His performance includes three five-wicket hauls and a ten-wicket match haul, showcasing his impact in Test matches alongside India’s spin attack.
Apart from excelling in Test cricket, Umesh Yadav has also made significant contributions in limited-overs formats. His ability to take crucial wickets has been evident with 106 wickets in 75 ODIs and 12 wickets in 9 T20Is for India. The pacer last played for India in 2023 during a Test match against Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy held at home.
