State-run Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) confirmed that there are sufficient supplies of petrol, diesel, and LPG available nationwide. The company is actively monitoring its distribution network to prevent hoarding and black marketing of LPG cylinders. Despite global tensions affecting fuel supply chains, IndianOil is ensuring stable availability of fuel products.
The company has advised consumers against panic buying or unnecessary LPG bookings. Indian refiners have secured crude oil supplies for the upcoming months to maintain domestic fuel availability. They have the flexibility to source crude oil from various regions, reducing the impact of global market fluctuations.
Indian authorities have imported a shipment of LPG from Iran, reinforcing domestic fuel availability. Efforts are underway to ensure smooth distribution and prevent any artificial shortages. Additionally, 21 states and Union Territories are conducting press briefings to address misinformation and reassure citizens about the continuous availability of LPG.
The government has instructed all states and UTs to enhance public communication efforts to provide accurate information through various media channels. Indian Oil Corporation is offering 5-kg LPG cylinders without the need for address proof, with over 5.7 lakh cylinders sold since March 23.
