The Indian Open, a PSA Copper event, will take place from March 18 to 22 at the historic CCI Brabourne Stadium for its second edition. Recognized by the Professional Squash Association (PSA), the tournament aims to build on the success of its 2025 edition, named one of the Top 10 Iconic PSA Events of the year.
The 2026 edition will see defending women’s champion Anahat Singh leading the event, alongside top Indian players like Ramit Tandon, Abhay Singh, Veer Chotrani, Velavan Senthilkumar, and Joshna Chinappa. International contenders such as Yahya Elnawasany, Hana Moataz, and Mazen Hesham will also participate, promising a week of competitive world-class squash.
The tournament will offer a USD 44,500 prize purse for both the men’s and women’s events, a first for an Indian tournament. Cyrus Poncha, Secretary General of the Squash Rackets Federation of India, highlighted the Indian Open’s significance on the PSA calendar, providing Indian players exposure to global competition and elevating squash’s profile nationally.
The quarterfinals, semifinals, and finals will be held on a fully glass court, creating an arena-style squash venue for close-up viewing. With equal prize money, top players from India and abroad, and a larger stage, the 2026 Indian Open aims to solidify India’s presence in the global squash arena.
