The Indian Motion Picture Producers’ Association (IMPPA) expressed deep concern over the leakage of actor Vijay’s upcoming film ‘Jana Nayagan’ footage online before its release. IMPPA has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, urging immediate and strict action against those responsible for the piracy. IMPPA highlighted the financial strain on producers caused by platforms like Telegram, torrent websites, and illegal portals like Tamilrockers.

Pointing out the delays in the certification process for ‘Jana Nayagan,’ IMPPA emphasized the financial losses due to piracy. The association stressed the need for better protection measures to prevent piracy before official releases. IMPPA requested the Prime Minister to take decisive steps to curb piracy and safeguard the interests of producers and stakeholders in the film industry.

IMPPA underscored the critical impact of piracy on the industry, urging the Prime Minister to address the issue promptly. The association emphasized the need for stringent actions against piracy to protect investments and ensure the sustainability of the film industry in India.
