Indian Technician Wins Dh10m as Big Ticket Pauses

In the latest draw of Abu Dhabi’s Big Ticket raffle, an Indian mechanical technician struck gold, winning a whopping Dh10 million! Ramesh Pesalalu, who has been living in Qatar for 15 years, clinched the grand prize during the Series 262 draw held on Wednesday.

Ramesh bought his winning ticket online, taking advantage of a buy-two-get-one-free promotion. Destiny favored him when he received the winning phone call. What’s more, he had purchased the ticket with 10 of his friends, who are now all set to become millionaires thanks to the guaranteed raffle draw.

Ecstatic about his win, Ramesh expressed, “Every month, I hope and pray that I’ll win. Last month, I was only one number off from winning the grand prize; I had exactly the same sequence of numbers except for one single digit. Still, I knew that one day I would win. Allah brought me this stroke of luck during the Holy Month of Ramadan. I am truly blessed.”

Ramesh plans to use his windfall to build a house back home in India, as he is currently renting. He’s thrilled to fulfill his parents’ dream of having their own home where his wife, sister, and parents can live comfortably.

Big Ticket, on April 1, joined the ranks of raffle draw operators pausing operations in compliance with new directives from the Gaming Regulatory Authority in the UAE, following similar moves by Mahzooz and Emirates Draw on January 1. However, despite the pause, the latest draw went ahead as scheduled, with Big Ticket assuring all winners that they will receive their prizes.

Customers are advised to keep an eye on the Big Ticket website and social media channels for further updates on operations.
