The Indian Women’s Hockey Team faced Scotland in a tough 2-2 draw during the FIH Hockey World Cup 2026 Qualifiers in Hyderabad. Both teams now hold four points in the group, with India maintaining the top spot due to a better goal difference. Goals from Navneet Kaur and Sunelita Toppo for India were matched by Scotland’s Heather McEwan and Fiona Burnet.

Scotland took an early lead with a goal by Heather McEwan in the 6th minute, capitalizing on a penalty corner. India fought back, with Navneet Kaur equalizing in the 18th minute. Sunelita Toppo then put India ahead before Fiona Burnet scored for Scotland, leading to a 2-2 deadlock. Both teams had opportunities, including multiple penalty corners, but the match ended without a winner.

India will play against Wales in their next match on Wednesday at 7:30 PM IST.
