India’s External Affairs Minister Meets Bangladeshi Counterpart in New Delhi

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar met with Bangladesh’s Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman and his delegation in New Delhi to discuss bilateral ties and global developments. The meeting focused on strengthening various aspects of the relationship between the two countries. Rahman’s visit is seen as a step towards enhancing cooperation between India and Bangladesh.

Rahman’s visit includes participation in the Indian Ocean Conference in Mauritius and meetings with India’s Foreign Minister, National Security Advisor, and Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas in New Delhi. This visit aims to emphasize stability and sustained development of bilateral relations based on mutual respect and shared interests. The trip signifies a positive shift in India-Bangladesh ties under the current government.

India’s High Commissioner to Bangladesh, Pranay Verma, recently met with Prime Minister Tarique Rahman to discuss enhancing bilateral engagement and cooperation across various sectors. Both sides expressed a commitment to deepening ties through a positive and forward-looking approach, focusing on shared interests and mutual benefits.
