He emphasized that the Iranian negotiators are committed to protecting Iran’s rights and interests, drawing strength from the sacrifices made by previous generations. Baqaei reiterated Iran’s resolve to pursue its national interests through all available means, including diplomacy, to ensure the country’s prosperity and security.
The discussions between Iran and the US have covered various crucial topics over the past day, including the Strait of Hormuz, the nuclear program, war reparations, sanctions relief, and resolving regional conflicts. Baqaei stressed that the success of the diplomatic process hinges on the sincerity and good faith of the US, urging them to respect Iran’s legitimate rights and interests. The talks, which lasted over 14 hours, have been extended at Pakistan’s suggestion, with both sides agreeing to continue the dialogue to address existing disagreements.
