On the eighth death anniversary of Sridevi, actor Jackie Shroff honored his late co-star by sharing a vintage photo of her on Instagram. Jackie, who worked with Sridevi in films like “Karma” and “Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja,” remembered her as living on through her timeless performances. Sridevi, known as the “first female superstar” of Indian cinema, had a career spanning over 50 years in various genres.
Sridevi, who debuted as a child artist in 1967, transitioned to lead roles at a young age. She became a prominent female star in South Indian cinema, appearing in films like 16 Vayathinile, Moondram Pirai, and Kshana Kshanam. Tragically, Sridevi passed away at the age of 54 in Dubai due to accidental drowning in 2018. Her last film was the 2017 action thriller “Mom,” where she portrayed a vigilante seeking justice for her stepdaughter.
Jackie Shroff, who shared fond memories of Sridevi, is set to star in Ahmed Khan’s upcoming comedy film “Welcome To The Jungle” alongside a star-studded cast including Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and many others.
