External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar had a phone conversation with Kuwait’s Foreign Minister, Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, focusing on West Asia’s situation and the Indian community’s well-being. The two ministers also talked about efforts concerning regional events. This discussion occurred amidst heightened tensions in the region following unsuccessful US-Iran negotiations.
EAM Jaishankar, who recently visited the UAE, met with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to convey Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s greetings and appreciation for safeguarding the Indian community during the West Asia conflict. He also expressed gratitude to Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for his support in strengthening the India-UAE Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
During his UAE visit, EAM Jaishankar engaged with UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan to discuss the evolving West Asia situation and its broader implications. He assured the Indian community of the government’s continuous efforts to ensure their safety and well-being in the midst of regional challenges.
