External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar met with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha during the G7 Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in France. They talked about West Asia developments, regional stability, and global supply chain security. Both ministers expressed interest in enhancing bilateral relations.
Sybiha mentioned having a productive discussion with Jaishankar at the G7 meeting. They focused on Middle East affairs, regional stability, and global supply chain safety. The ministers also planned for future engagements to strengthen cooperation between their countries.
The meeting between the two ministers occurred amidst the ongoing conflict in West Asia that started in late February. Jaishankar, attending the G7 meeting in France, emphasized the need for United Nations Security Council reforms and improving humanitarian supply chains. He also highlighted the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor during the discussions.
