Hollywood actress Jamie Lee Curtis, despite coming from a family of actors, initially did not plan to pursue a career in acting. She had envisioned herself as a police officer. Curtis, known for her role in ‘Everything Everywhere All At Once,’ expressed her surprise at nearing 50 years in Hollywood, a path she had not foreseen in her youth.
In a recent post on Instagram, the 67-year-old shared a photo from her early days in Hollywood, playing a waitress in a 1977 episode of Columbo when she was around 19 years old. Reflecting on her journey, Curtis mentioned her evolution from being an unnamed waitress to a producer and a collaborator with stars like Nicole Kidman.
Curtis emphasized that she never had a concrete career plan but approached each job with gratitude and patience. She acknowledged the challenges faced by older performers in the industry and revealed her long-standing practice of “self-retiring.”
