The Jammu and Kashmir Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has apprehended four officials for soliciting and receiving bribes. The ACB disclosed that cases were filed at Udhampur and Rajouri ACB police stations after a complaint was lodged. The accused officials were caught red-handed accepting bribes during a successful trap operation.

Another case involved an Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police, Zamurat Manhas, who demanded a bribe from a complainant to resolve a monetary dispute. The ACB initiated legal action after the complainant reported the incident. ASI Zamurat Manhas was caught accepting a bribe and subsequently arrested.

In a separate incident, a Patwari named Mohd. Razaq demanded a bribe from a complainant to update the revenue records. The complainant, unwilling to pay the bribe, reported the matter to the Rajouri ACB police station. Mohd. Razaq was caught red-handed accepting the bribe and was promptly arrested. Investigations are ongoing in all three cases.
