Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha, emphasized the importance of the region’s culture and spiritual wealth in shaping a brighter future for all during the inauguration of the ‘Jammu and Kashmir Cultural Festival.’ The festival, organized by Shri Kailakh Jyotish and Vedic Sansthan Trust, aimed to preserve the rich heritage and promote folk arts, spiritual foundations, and traditions. L-G Sinha highlighted the significance of traditional performances, cultural displays, and farmer awareness programs in showcasing the region’s legacy.
Anant Shri Vibhushit Junapeethadheeshwar Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Pujyapad Shri Swami Avdheshanand Giri Ji Maharaj also graced the occasion, underscoring the festival’s cultural importance. L-G Sinha stressed the need for India to promote knowledge economy, innovations, cultural values, and philosophical ideas globally. He urged the youth to draw inspiration from their roots, foster new ideas, and leverage cultural heritage for societal transformation.
In a call for unity and compassion, L-G Sinha emphasized the role of art, culture, spirituality, and ethics in nation-building. He commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership in advancing progress and welfare in India. The festival featured diverse activities such as cultural exhibitions, traditional folk performances, a Kisan Mela, and a free medical camp, celebrating the region’s cultural richness and honoring outstanding individuals in various fields.
