Legendary screenwriter Javed Akhtar has expressed his intention to take legal action against individuals circulating a deepfake video of him with false implications. Akhtar addressed the issue in a statement shared on social media, denouncing the video as fake and misleading. He emphasized his consideration of involving cyber police to address the dissemination of the fabricated content.

In a recent public debate titled ‘Does God Exist?’ in New Delhi, Javed Akhtar and Islamic scholar Mufti Shamail Nadwi engaged in a thought-provoking discussion. Akhtar, known for his secular and atheistic beliefs, challenged traditional theistic arguments, sparking a viral response online. The exchange between Akhtar and Nadwi prompted discussions on faith, logic, and public discourse in India.

Reflecting on a personal note, Javed Akhtar penned a heartfelt birthday message for his daughter Zoya Akhtar, reminiscing about her birth. Akhtar, who was previously married to Honey Irani and is the father of Farhan Akhtar and Zoya Akhtar, later tied the knot with actress Shabana Azmi in 1984.
