The Jindal Global Law School recently hosted the Law Schools Global League (LSGL) Deans’ Meeting and Academic Conference. The event focused on the theme “Law and the Digital Future: Reimagining Global Legal Education,” exploring the impact of artificial intelligence and digital technologies on legal systems and education globally. Deans and senior academics from 24 universities worldwide gathered to discuss the future of law and legal education.
The Law Schools Global League comprises 32 leading law schools dedicated to enhancing global legal education. The annual Deans’ Meeting provides a platform for strategic discussions, while the Academic Conference allows scholars to address pressing global issues. The event began with a tour of India’s first Constitution Museum and an address by Prof (Dr) C. Raj Kumar, highlighting JGU’s commitment to academic excellence and global engagement.
Prof Raj Kumar emphasized the importance of upholding constitutional values and the rule of law in legal education. He stressed the need for innovation to strengthen democracy and ensure access to justice in the face of technological advancements. The conference delved into topics such as algorithmic governance, artificial intelligence’s impact on judicial systems, and the role of law schools in preparing ethically grounded lawyers.
