Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah continued his campaign for the Bagalkot Assembly bye-election, participating in a meeting at Mugulolli village where he highlighted H.Y. Meti’s developmental contributions and supported Congress candidate Umesh Meti. Minister R.B. Timmapur, former Legislative Council Chairman S.R. Patil, and other officials were also present.

The Chief Minister addressed BJP’s allegations of fear-driven campaigning, stating that it is a Congress tradition to nominate family members of deceased legislators. He refrained from responding to BJP’s comments on the Chief Minister’s post, emphasizing his commitment to the party’s decisions.
Siddaramaiah criticized the BJP for neglecting initiatives like establishing a medical college in Bagalkote and prioritizing farmer compensation under the Upper Krishna Project during its tenure. He highlighted H.Y. Meti’s significant contributions to Bagalkote’s progress.
