The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) announced the results of the Karnataka II PUC (Class 12) board examinations. This year, 88.48% of students passed, totaling 5,46,698 out of 6,32,200 candidates. Girls outshone boys, with a pass percentage of 88.70% compared to 83.65% among boys.
In terms of streams, Arts had a pass percentage of 72.86%, Commerce at 88.04%, and Science at 91.69%. The exams were conducted from February 28 to March 17 at 1,217 centers, with evaluation done by 27,739 evaluators at 68 centers between March 17 and April 2.
Rural students performed slightly better than urban students, with a pass rate of 87.62% in rural areas versus 85.95% in urban areas. Among social categories, Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe students had pass rates of 80.22% and 80.19%, respectively, while the general category had a pass rate of 92.69%.
Students from Kannada medium achieved a pass rate of 76.41%, while English medium students had a pass rate of 90.63%. Udupi district topped the state with a pass rate of 96.39%, followed by Mangaluru at 96.35%, and Madikeri at 92.34%.
