Khalin Joshi shot a second consecutive three-under 68 to lead the Andhra Open Golf Championship 2026 at six-under 136 after round two at the East Point Golf Club in Visakhapatnam. The 33-year-old former Asian Tour winner from Bengaluru holds a one-shot advantage over Dhruv Sheoran, who slipped to second place at five-under 137 with a one-under 70.
Chikkarangappa S., a 14-time winner on the DP World PGTI, is in third place at four-under 138 after returning a 70. Despite challenging conditions on a windy day, Khalin Joshi maintained his composure from tee to green, making four birdies and a bogey on the final hole.
Khalin expressed satisfaction with his performance, stating, “I negotiated the conditions well, especially dealing with the switching wind. I hit the ball well from tee to green and am excited for the upcoming weekend.” The par-5 seventh hole has been converted to a 477-yard par-4, reducing the course par to 71.
Dhruv Sheoran, the overnight leader, initially extended his lead with an eagle but faltered with back-to-back bogeys on the 16th and 17th holes, slipping to second place. Six players, including Viraj Madappa and N. Thangaraja from Sri Lanka, were tied for fourth place at two-under 140. The cut was set at six-over 148, with 52 players advancing to the final two rounds.
