In a significant stride towards sustainable innovation, Kolkata has unveiled India’s first Solar Dome Museum at Eco Park in New Town. This pioneering establishment stands as a testament to the nation’s commitment to renewable energy and environmental education.

Architectural Marvel

The Solar Dome Museum is an architectural feat, rising 27 meters with a diameter of 45 meters. Its dome-shaped structure is adorned with 2,086 solar panels, generating sufficient energy to power the museum and illuminate the surrounding streetlights. This design not only emphasizes aesthetic appeal but also underscores functionality and sustainability.

Interactive Learning Experience

Visitors are invited to embark on an educational journey through the realms of renewable energy. The museum boasts over 50 interactive displays that delve into various energy sources, environmental challenges, and sustainable practices. The museum houses four vision theatres, two of which are situated on the upper level.
