Kuwait’s air defense systems successfully intercepted multiple aerial threats within the last 24 hours. Despite this, a military camp was hit by projectiles, resulting in injuries to 10 troops. The injured personnel have been hospitalized and are currently receiving medical care.
The defense units identified and took down 14 hostile ballistic missiles and 12 drones. The attack caused damage to the military camp and warehouses of a private logistics company. Authorities have confirmed that Kuwait’s air defense systems are on high alert and ready to counter any future threats.
The incident occurred amidst rising tensions following joint US-Israeli strikes on Iran last month. Iran has been launching missile and drone attacks on Israeli and US assets in the Middle East. Kuwait’s Defense Ministry reported that 10 service members were injured in the military camp attack.
Colonel Saud Abdulaziz al-Atwan, a spokesman for the Defense Ministry, stated that the armed forces detected the hostile drones and missiles in Kuwaiti airspace. The attack led to injuries among the armed forces personnel and material damage at the camp. Kuwaiti military personnel were injured in an Iranian missile attack on a military camp in the Gulf country.
