She explained that initially, it was challenging for her to relate to Phoebe, but over the show’s duration, she gradually embraced the character’s quirks and values.
Kudrow shared that it was a gradual process for her to understand and embody Phoebe’s persona. She mentioned that it required effort to align with Phoebe’s unconventional behavior and beliefs, but eventually, she found a connection with the character. Kudrow’s portrayal of Phoebe, a quirky musician with a diverse range of occupations, earned her an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.
