Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) head coach Justin Langer has commended the abilities of young batsman Mukul Choudhary, describing him as a ‘great athlete’ with a ‘sharp brain.’ Langer likened Choudhary’s game sense and running between the wickets to that of the renowned Virat Kohli.
Choudhary’s remarkable unbeaten 54 off 27 balls, including seven sixes and two fours against KKR, has brought him significant attention. Langer emphasized Choudhary’s athleticism and elite running between the wickets, drawing parallels to Virat Kohli’s style, while also praising his game intelligence.
Langer highlighted the role of team analyst Shrinivas Chandrashekaran in identifying Choudhary’s talent and bringing him into the team. He mentioned that despite the pressure of needing 54 runs off the final 24 balls, he was focused on the team’s performance and praised their bowling and fielding.
The coach expressed his satisfaction with the team’s performance and emphasized the importance of winning close matches for boosting morale early in the tournament. Langer believes that such victories act as a confidence booster and instill belief in the team, setting a positive tone for the season ahead.
